A Smarter, Safer, Breast Implant

Expa Medical is creating the next generation of implants utilizing novel chemistry to drive better aesthetics and patient outcomes. By implementing these advances, Expa will eliminate 2-stage breast reconstruction for breast cancer patients. Expa's implants will minimize incision size and provide higher degrees of implant modification, providing both augmentation and reconstruction patients with a more streamlined experience.

Creating an Implant for Breast Cancer Survivors

Breast reconstruction after mastectomy remains a complicated process requiring breast cancer patients to undergo a final surgery to receive the same implants received by breast augmentation patients. Expa understands the needs and complications of breast reconstruction and is designing implants to eliminate the need for a final reconstruction surgery. By leveraging advances in material science, Expa will develop a safer implant with faster recovery time and reduced surgical risk.

General Applicability in the Augmentation Market

Expa's technology will have general applicability in the breast augmentation market, significantly reducing incision size and allowing for customization of implants. Patients will be able to offer real-time feedback through the augmentation process resulting with final implants with the aesthetics of current silicone implants.
